Our webinar series: from geological measurements to urban sustainability

In the framework of the Center of Excellence in Green Transition, the GeoGold Kárpátia Ltd. and the Centre of Sustainable Communities have presented their professional tasks.

On 27 April, Orsolya Katona from GeoGold Kárpátia Ltd. gave an insight into their geological, hydrogeological and environmental projects in the Western Balkans and the surrounding countries. The advantages of deep geothermal and shallow geothermal water heat pump systems in the region were also presented. On 4 May, Lilla Bartuszek, co-founder and Executive Director of the Centre of Sustainable Communities (https://fkkmagyarorszag.org/en/), gave a presentation on the cooperation needed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, with a strong focus on the national as well as local government level. The presentation also covered the Centre's work on the transition to sustainability at the municipal level, such as municipal water and waste management. The presentation is available here.
