New projects of the Western Balkans Green Centre are available on the Energy Community's investment coordination platform
The Vienna-based Energy Community's Donors' and IFIs' Coordination meeting took place on March 17, 2021, to which the Western Balkans Green Centre (WBGC), a development agency with an international mandate under the authority of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, was invited.
The meeting was attended by representatives of institutions supporting the Western Balkans region through various financial facilities, including international development institutions active in the region (EU, EIB, EBRD, the World Bank Group) as well as bilateral development agencies. During the online round table discussion, the representatives of the institutions also discussed their experiences and plans with regard to their projects in the Western Balkans with a particular focus on the link between building renovation and energy efficiency.
During the meeting, Managing Director László Örlős of the WBGC informed about their activities that is active in supporting the transition process to a green economy. In addition, he explained the results of the recently concluded Western Balkans Project Preparation and Capacity Building Grant Programme (WBGC-2020/2) which attracted considerable interest.
The WBGC is closely cooperating with the Energy Community, a key player in the energy and climate development space in the Western Balkans region.
